Beginner's guide to collecting

Start with what you actually enjoy squishing. Value follows attention, and attention follows genuine enthusiasm.

The three families

NeeDohs

Gel-filled stress balls in a huge range of finishes. Limited colourways drive most of the secondary value.

Dumplings

Food-shaped plush and gel toys, often in sets. Complete sets carry a real premium over singles.

Squishies

Slow-rise foam and plush squishies. Condition matters more here than anywhere else — foam takes marks.

Rarity tiers

We label every item with one of these tiers, based on production run and how often it appears for sale.

Five rules that save money

  1. 1. Never pay based on an asking price alone.
  2. 2. Buy the condition you would be happy to keep.
  3. 3. Retail restocks kill hype premiums — check before paying 3× retail.
  4. 4. Log what you paid. Untracked collections drift.
  5. 5. Sell one thing occasionally. It keeps the hobby self-funding.
